How do you block new admits from being able to accept their offer of admission based on specific criteria? How do you dynamically generate a task list for a portal user based on their current data state without creating roles for every situation? How do you ensure that the highest priority notifications for a user are displayed to that user when they login to the portal without creating dozens of Notify/Smart Events? Purdue University's Office of Admissions posed that first question to Purdue's Banner Student team, and we delivered a solution on our Grails platform. That solution was built using a framework that we designed to resolve all of the above questions, and many others.
