ODS Reporting Implementation for Finance at Centennial College (2055)
This presentation will describe our Operational Data Store (ODS) Reporting Solution implementation at Centennial College. As the Finance Department was the first in the College to use this product with COGNOS. We lead the way to many business process decisions for this reporting tool. One of goals for the project was to review existing and new Financial reporting needs of all the College's users as it related to the ODS product implementation. There was a need to replace our existing reporting systems as it was at its end of life. We also unveiled a Budget Holder Luminis Portal for users to access their reports remotely. A large number of users would also need to be trained during this time.
How could we replace our old reporting system and create over 60 reports for internal and external users in the six-month time frame.
These needs along with a project strategy enabled to use this tool throughout the College.
