Description
The Large School Consortium, a collaboration of large research institutions that utilize the Banner suite of products, was looking for a way to improve information sharing with peer institutions. Specifically, we were looking to share information on ERP solutions in use at our institutions, whether they are Sungard products, third party software products, custom modifications or enhancements, or specific infrastructure configurations. Our goal was simple: To make it easy to find institutions that were similar to our own who had already addressed a key integration, enhancement, version upgrade, or product implementation. After discussing the idea for several years, we called our group to action at our annual meeting in May, 2011. Since that meeting, we have worked diligently to put together a simple to use process to collect, manage, and share this information through the Commons. In this session, we would like to unveil the developed solution which has been tried and tested by the member institutions of the Large School Consortium. It is our desire to open the tool up for use by the rest of the Sungard user community. Please join us in making this a useful addition in our continued efforts to improve collaboration.
