Over the past year, Wake Forest University has extended its data warehousing capabilities to include all areas of reporting-related financial and accounting information. The custom data architecture has provided numerous advantages, including enhanced reporting functionality, improved report execution performance, simplified report development, minimized data redundancy, and meaningful data organization for ad hoc queries. This presentation will focus on Wake Forests use of attributes, the development of financial statements and other types of management reporting in Cognos 8.4, and specific financial data architecture considerations. The session is meant for all audiences who are interested in enhancing their financial reporting environment.
