What To Expect When Deploying a Luminis 5 Portal From Scratch

Oregon State University successfully deployed Luminis 5 in September of 2011, and were eager to share our experiences and to help prepare other universities for future successful deployments. This presentation describes the experiences of OSU in deploying a new Luminis 5 portal. You will see how a school can expect to partner with SunGard technical and functional consultants to design and construct a successful portal, the steps involved, what the consultants do, and what resources are involved at the university. The purpose of this presentation is to set expectations for project managers and administrators, help them understand the process of designing and implementing a portal, help them estimate resources and to highlight the approach SunGard takes in the implementation. The target audience is schools interested in deploying a new web portal with Luminis 5.
