Description
Old Dominion University Vice President for Administration and Finance, Bob Fenning stood up at the 2009 Executive Summit and openly and publicly expressed his concerns regarding SunGard Banner’s inability to provide an acceptable level of functionality and product enhancements. He was frustrated with complaints from all over the University about the Banner ERP. Vice President Fenning’s concerns led directly to a process that would set Old Dominion University on a course that, after only a year, is not only yielding savings in both dollars and staff time, but also has ignited a cultural shift towards fiscal accountability and change acceptance. The catalyst for this transformation was Banner Revitalization. Bob, along with his other Executive Sponsor, Associate VP of Administration, Deb Swiecinski will briskly lead you through the high points and pitfalls that this process has yielded. ODU’s relationship manager, Allison Leonard, will make a “Guest Appearance” to describe how she marshaled the SunGard resources to meet the demands of this global project (Finance, HR/Payroll, Student AR and Banner Student functions).
