North Shore Community College has acknowledged the need for more data-driven decision-making and embarked on an institutional ODS/EDW implementation to pursue that goal. While there have been challenges, the college has also achieved some success, especially from the Institutional Research Office perspective. This presentation by the NSCC CFO and Director of IR will provide history of the project and changes to the reporting environment, strategic goals for institutional BI, approach of organization and training, lessons learned, and next steps. The session will focus on specific examples from the IR office perspective about culture change, roles and responsibilities, as well as leveraging the capabilities of ODS reporting throughout the institution and benefits achieved.
