Description
Getting the complete information from end-users is often a challenge because they often don't "speak the same language" as the technical staff. Southern Illinois University has developed a distributed process which allows users to make requests for information in a way that "interviews" the requester and translates that into project requirements that can be processed by our technical staff. This process asks the important "who, what, why, where, when and how" questions that are needed to provide the information that they need to make decisions, measure progress, connect with alums, and raise funds. The process reflects that design and terminology of Advance and, while many of its principles are generally applicable, is designed to support alumni/development efforts.
