The University of Tennessee, Knoxville has been live with Banner Accounts Receivable since November 2010. We faced many challenges with fee assessment for our multi-campus set-up. Although we are primarily located in Knoxville, TN, we handle fee assessment for sites in Nashville, Tullahoma and our Distance Education courses. Our first semester was a challenge to say the least. For the past Fall semester, we changed all of our fee assessment rules to charge by campus. Everything worked well until our administration requested that we cap all fees at the Knoxville Campus fee rate for each group of Undergraduate and Graduate students. With the help of our SunGard A/R consultant Staci LeBlanc we were able to create exemptions to cap the fees at the maximum level for Knoxville students. It has been an on-going process, but we have met the request of our administration.
