When preparing to implement Banner Finance in January 2009, our goal was to set up a Chart of Accounts (COA) that met the needs of all internal and external stakeholders associated with Northwest Missouri State University. After completing 2 fiscal years with Banner Finance, we are convinced that our chart of accounts is second-to-none. Our COA was structured in a way that gives users a hierarchical view of their financial information. We will share how our COA is user friendly, manageable by the Finance department and allows for effortless reporting.
