Description
Lasell College, like most colleges today is constrained by tight budgets yet IT is faced with the challenge to support the institutions demands to develop systems to help retain students and provide access to opportunities for employment and internships. By utilizing the existing PowerCampus database and SelfService system Lasell has met these challenges by making enhancements to these systems at a low costs to the institution.
In these projects the Registrars and Career Services Offices were the project sponsors and worked closely with IT to brainstorm the needs of the students and institution, develop requirements for programming staff and participate in the QA process. To this end, IT has been customizing SelfService either by changing stored procedures, updating c# aspx and ascx pages or creating new pages. This session will illustrate few examples of enhancements made to SelfService 7.3.3. that helped these Offices to facilitate Students and Faculty work.
