The State University of New York introduced the SICAS Business Intelligence Program in the fall of 2010 as a set of philosophies, methodologies, and technologies in support of effective use of information on campuses. By extending the shared services model, employed for years at SUNY, into Business Intelligence (BI) we have been able to enable comprehensive BI programs at a lower cost with shorten implementation times.

This technical session will give an overview of how two University wide agencies are providing Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g and SunGard HE Operational Data Store as a private Cloud based service. At Summit 2011, we presented the proposed architecture of the BI Cloud. This years session will be a brief overview of the solution, followed by an in depth look at how specific technologies (i.e. Oracle Stream & VPN, OWB, and OBI) enable the solution. Come see how things are progressing with this ambitious project and what we have planned for next year.
