Middlesex University based in London UK, launched their new portal system named myUniHub to all students at the start of the academic year in September 2011.
MyUniHub is the new personalized system for students at Middlesex University and has been implemented using SunGard Higher Educations Luminis 5 Portal Platform and provides students with access to their Learning Materials, timetables and modules, module enrolment, on line payments, computer booking system, Banner, WebCT, Athens, Live@edu email and Sharedrive, etc. all through one single sign on.
MyUniHub has also been integrated with Middlesex University's main web site known as UniHub, to give a richer user experience including login and logout integration. The University's Banner and WebCT systems have also been customised to reflect the branding of the University giving the student the experience of being in one overall system.
Extensive use of Luminis 5s communities feature has also been implemented particularly with communities related to the students union which have their own unique branding.
Information via myUniHub is targeted to students at different stages of their student lifecycle from new students through to graduating students providing relevant information at relevant times.
MyUniHub has proved to be a great success with positive feedback from both students and staff.
