Description
We in Advancement are all about the data. We spend huge amounts of time collecting, storing, cleaning, analyzing, and sharing data between Advance and other systems. Yet there are always new requests that defy existing data structures and processes. New systems could be developed, but wouldnt it be great if there was a more generic way to address emerging needs?
The Advancement team at Colorado State University has developed processes and protocols to leverage survey functionality to collect non-normative data, normalize it into Advance and disseminate it as part of the normal Advance data stream.
This non-technical presentation will focus on how a survey tool can be used to accomplish requests for information that are out of the ordinary. We will use our survey tool for the session, but the concepts will transcend it. This presentation will provide three examples of how an online survey process was used to administer an integrated satisfaction survey for Vet Teaching Hospital clients through a blended phonathon & email approach, log membership premiums through the phonathon and collect recipient impact information from Foundation scholars in collaboration with the funding Foundation.
