Research institutions in the United States have compliance regulations placed on them when working on grant funded projects. One of those compliance steps is having individuals that worked on a specific grant, certify the effort performed against the grant as per A-21 regulations. In this session, you'll hear how the Effort Reporting module in Employee Self-Service can be set up via rules in Banner HR and Banner Finance, and used to move your employees to an electronic system to certify their effort, cutting down on the paper shuffle and placing accountability on the right individuals for certification. Included in this session will be an overview of the various rules you would set up for what displays on the effort report, for your defined certification period, along with how you can create queues for the certification and review of the reports. Additionally, you'll see what the end result looks like for your certifiers in self-service.
