Description
To better assess the affinities of its prospects and assist fundraisers with identifying major gift donors, the University of Denver's Office of University Advancement recently implemented the use of the Banner Events Management Module to track the event attendance of its constituents. This session, tailored to functional Banner users, is presented by University Advancement's Senior IT Project Manager, Justin Shaw, MBA, who has nearly seven years of Banner Advancement experience. Topics to be addressed include: the logic behind University Advancement's selection of specific Banner Events Module forms and validation tables to meet its unique business needs; challenges presented by the Banner Events Module and how University Advancement worked around them; modifications made to the Banner Events Module, including the use of the Supplemental Data Engine (SDE) and the creation of a mass upload process for event invitees, attendees, and attendee guests; explanations of how event attendance data is turned into meaningful information for fundraisers; and reasoning why the method in which University Advancement utilizes the Banner Events Module is transferable to all other departments on campus and does not limit its use solely to fundraising purposes.
