PowerCAMPUS Advancement Access is a modification to PowerCAMPUS Self-Service that provides real-time web accessibility to the Advancement data stored in PowerCAMPUS. Through the use of PowerCAMPUS actions, Northland International University developed several Self-Service pages and functions that allow a development officer or other designated individual to gain access to the full array of data stored in PowerCAMPUS from any web browser. The project also maintains all data within standard PowerCAMPUS tables allowing staff PowerCAMPUS users to benefit from the additional information provided by development officers. This session will describe the decision making process that led to the project, the project timeline and resulting functionality. Whenever possible, the project utilized existing PowerCAMPUS functionality (dossier, actions, roles and stored procedures). Although the specific use case for a modification will vary based on specific institutional needs, the process followed could be used as an example for any Self-Service modification project needed to support the strategic initiatives of your specific institution.
