The University of Missouri began our move from Advance Windows to Advance Web in the Fall of 2009. We moved in stages, one for users external to the Development division, followed by the Development division a few months later.

We focused on two tracks to train users. Existing Windows users needed to be retrained and given cues to find common tasks and applications. Change management and comparisons helped us these users to move to the new version. With new employees, a new training approach needed to be designed focusing on the breadth of information viewable in Advance Web as opposed to the depth of information in Advance Windows.
