Awakening Youth Leadership Development

The Junior Scholars Institute in Berkeley County School District in South Carolina sponsors a summer program in leadership for middle and high school students with exceptional academic talent. The purpose of the program is to identify students and to facilitate their intellectual growth, broaden their individual interests, and promote their scholastic achievement through the development of leadership skills. Eligible students score 50 or higher on the PSAT in verbal, math, or writing. In addition, students may be recognized Duke TIP scholars. This session will share strategies for tapping the talent of leadership in youth.
