Description
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Historically song, film, and written media have been used to "shine a light" on issues of intolerance. This multimedia session is designed to help teachers and parents empower gifted students to actively respond to Martin Luther King's call to stand up for justice and tolerance. This session will provide a step-by-step framework to help gifted students examine issues of intolerance, inequity, corruption, and humanitarian need; develop an action-plan, and use song, film or the written word to confront these issues and build global awareness and understanding.
