Description
This session will help the audience understand the impact of the infant/toddler care they supervise or provide on: (1) the structural development of the brain, (2) the future social, emotional, intellectual, and language capacities of the children in their care, and (3) the role parents play in fostering brain development. Recent research conducted in neuroscience and developmental psychology since the year 2000 will be used as the base for suggestions for caregiver and parent practice. Conferees explore the link between responsive, reflective, personalized care and how the brain is optimally structured.
