Description
Change can be an exciting and a sometimes traumatic experience. How do you facilitate change with impact, pursue a new vision for an office, develop a plan for accountability and strategy, and stay true to the core values of an institution? According to a recent NACE study, nearly seven out of 10 respondents (67.8 percent) plan to conduct an internal and/or external review of their career center within the next five years; this represents a 23.7 percent increase over the 44.1 percent that conducted one within the past five years. This session will deliver some best practices and strategies for conducting a successful program review that can be applied to a broad scope of institutions especially during these times of uncertain budgets, varying constituent demands, and questions of accountability. The program review process is also the foundation for a future action plan and defines the core of the strategic planning process. The review process and subsequent actions are integral for growth and lobbying for resources among key campus stakeholders and accreditation authorities.
