Dr. Lakamp provides executive and operational oversight to all pharmacy functions within Mercy Health (Mercy). Mercy is an integrated delivery network based in St. Louis, MO with 31 hospitals and 20 retail pharmacies in four states -- Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas. Mercy has widely deployed technology solutions for medication safety including CPOE, BPOC, smart IV pumps, automated drug distribution and centralized inventory management and repackaging operations. Dr. Lakamp has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, both from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He went on to complete a Pharmacy Practice Residency with the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Lakamp has been with Mercy since 1990. Prior to his current role, Dr. Lakamp worked in Mercys supply chain division, Resource Optimization and Innovation (ROi providing a variety of consulting services in the areas of pharmacy, laboratory and diagnostic imaging.
