Practice achievements: Dr. Ross is a leader in the development and implementation of pharmacy medication therapy management models and promotes leadership and advocacy in the pharmacy community. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and served as Director of the UM Pharmaceutical Care Clinics, pharmacist-run disease management clinics recognized with an ASHP Best Practices Award in Health-System Pharmacy in 2003. Dr. Ross leads several large community-based research projects implementing innovative services in pharmacies, clinics, and worksites in the Mississippi Delta. Dr. Ross completed a two-year Health Policy Fellowship in the U.S. Senate and continues work in advocacy, serving as the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Political Action Committee (PAC) Governing Council Chair. She serves as Chair-Elect of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Pharmacy Practice Section and Chair of the Council of Faculties (COF) Task Force on Leadership/Advocacy. Dr. Ross served as President of the Mississippi Pharmacists Association (MPhA) in 2003. She was awarded the Mississippi Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP) Young Pharmacist of the Year in 2001, the UM Faculty Service Award in 2004, and the MPhA Young Pharmacist Award in 2008.
