John Clark,
PharmD, MS, Director of Pharmacy Services,
University of Michigan
Dr. John Clark teaches, practices, and researches in the area of pharmacy practice management and leadership. He is the Director of Pharmacy at University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers and Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. Additionally, he is the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Director. He is responsible for precepting pharmacy students and residents in Pharmacy Practice Management and Leadership. Dr. Clarks research interests include documentation and acceptance of pharmacists clinical interventions, pharmacy staffing models, Joint Commission readiness, patient safety, and the use of technology to improve patient care. Dr. Clark and colleagues were awarded a 2006 ASHP (American Society of Health-System Pharmacy) Best Practice Award for Successful Elimination of the Rule of Six in an Academic Childrens Hospital Through a Medication-Use-System Redesign and Standardization of Continuous Infusions. He provides his service for pharmacy residency accreditation surveys for ASHP and the ASHP Commission on Credentialing as well. The University of Michigan PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Training Program he leads was awarded the 2010 ASHP Pharmacy Residency Excellence Award.

Meghan Davlin Swarthout,
PharmD, MBA, Division Director, Ambulatory and Care Transitions,

MEGHAN DAVLIN, Pharm.D., MBA is the Division Director of Ambulatory and Care Transitions for the Department of Pharmacy at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. In her current role, Meghan oversees the clinical services and drug distribution operations for ambulatory clinics and infusion centers. She also maintains a clinical practice in anticoagulation clinic.
Meghan is active in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. She has served as a member of the Commission on Credentialing, a member of the Section of Pharmacy Managers Leadership Development Advisory Group, and the Chair of the New Practitioners Forum Public Affairs and Advocacy Advisory Group. As a pharmacy student, Meghan was a member of the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum Executive Committee.
Meghan earned her Pharm.D. degree from Ohio Northern University. Following graduation, Meghan completed her PGY1/PGY2 in Health System Pharmacy Administration at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and earned her MBA in Medical Services Management from The Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business.

Diane Ginsburg,

Diane Ginsburg completed her bachelor of science in pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh and a master of science in hospital pharmacy at the University of Houston. She completed a two-year ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy administration at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Ms. Ginsburg is currently a Clinical Professor in the Health Outcomes and Pharmacy Practice Division and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, College of Pharmacy. In addition, she is currently a student in the doctoral program in Higher Education Administration in the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin.
Ms. Ginsburg is currently Immediate Past President of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and served a 3-year term on the ASHP Board of Directors. She has served ASHP in several capacities including the following: Chair, Council on Educational Affairs, Editorial Advisory Board of the American Journal of Health-Systems Pharmacists, Texas Delegate 1993-2005, Co-Coordinator National Clinical Skills Competition and was a Member of the Advisory Panel that was instrumental in forming the ASHP Student Forum. She is the Editor-in-Chief of ASHPs NAPLEX Review as well as an author and editor of ASHPs Preceptors Handbook for Pharmacists. Ms. Ginsburg has also been active with other pharmacy organizations including the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) and served on the most recent AACP Center for Advancement of Pharmaceutical Education (CAPE) Advisory Panel on Educational Outcomes.
She is a Past President of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) and has served TSHP in various capacities. She was honored by the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and received the 2005 Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Paul Walker,

PAUL C. WALKER is Clinical Professor and Director of Experiential Education and Community Engagement at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and Manager, Pharmacy Patient Outcomes at the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS). Dr. Walker received his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy in 1980 and Doctor of Pharmacy in 1982 from Wayne State University and completed residencies in pharmacy practice at Children's Hospital of Michigan and pediatric pharmacy practice at the University of Tennessee/LeBonheur Children's Medical Center, Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Walker is involved in didactic and experiential education of students, as well as scholarship. His professional and research interests include pharmacy practice model development, the impact of pharmacists on patient outcomes, and transitions of care. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters; his publications have appeared in American Journal of Health System Pharmacy, American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, Archives of Internal Medicine, and other journals. He has presented at numerous local, national and international meetings. Dr. Walker's professional memberships include American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA), and Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists; he has served in various leadership positions within these organizations. In 2008, he was inducted into the MPA Hall of Honor and in 2009 was recognized as a Fellow of both MPA and ASHP for his sustained contributions to pharmacy practice.
