Debbie Byrd,
PharmD, BCPS, Professor and Associate Dean, Professional Affairs,
University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy
Dr. Debbie Byrd is Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Associate Dean of Professional Affairs for the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. Based on the college's Knoxville campus, Dr. Byrd provides campus leadership in the areas of Student Affairs and Experiential Education, and college-wide leadership in areas of marketing and professional relationships. Before joining the University of Tennessee, Dr. Byrd was Director of Experiential Learning at Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. In addition, Dr. Byrd established and directed an ASHP Accredited Primary Care Specialty Residency at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for seven years. Dr. Byrd is a University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy graduate. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis, followed by a Specialty Residency in Primary Care at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Byrd is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.

Sarah Nisly,
PharmD, BCPS, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice,
Butler University
Dr. Sarah Nisly graduated with her doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Kansas in 2005. She then successfully completed a PGY1 residency at Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center in Greenville, SC and an Internal Medicine PGY2 residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Dr. Nisly currently shares a joint position with Butler University and Indiana University Health (IUH). As an Assistant Professor at Butler University, she precepts several students/year, lectures in the therapeutics sequence, participates in small group sessions, and co-coordinates an elective course in drug-induced diseases. Within the IUH system, she practices as a clinical pharmacist in Internal Medicine-working alongside the hospitalist group. Dr. Nisly also works heavily with the Anticoagulation Quality Committee, spearheading the effort to design and implement a pharmacist driven warfarin dosing service, collecting quality metrics, and participating in a workgroup specific to the NPSG 3E. As a joint effort between IUH and BU, Dr. Nisly started and successfully accredited the 2-year Pharmacotherapy Residency with an emphasis in academia. Lastly, Dr. Nisly works with a variety of senior groups in the greater Indianapolis area. Together with her students and residents, she provides general health, disease state specific, and medication related education to local seniors in an effort to increase awareness and empower seniors.

Shaunta' Ray,
PharmD, BCPS, Associate Professor,
University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy
Shaunta M. Ray, PharmD, BCPS is Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, Knoxville Campus and in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Ray practices in inpatient and outpatient Family Medicine with University Family Physicians at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Dr. Ray received her PharmD from the University of Oklahoma in 2004. She completed an ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy and OU Medical Center. Dr. Ray is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and serves as the Pharmacotherapy Residency Director at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Dr. Ray's areas of interest include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and resident education.
