John Clark,
PharmD, MS, Director of Pharmacy Services,
University of Michigan
Dr. John Clark teaches, practices, and researches in the area of pharmacy practice management and leadership. He is the Director of Pharmacy at University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers and Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. Additionally, he is the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Director. He is responsible for precepting pharmacy students and residents in Pharmacy Practice Management and Leadership. Dr. Clarks research interests include documentation and acceptance of pharmacists clinical interventions, pharmacy staffing models, Joint Commission readiness, patient safety, and the use of technology to improve patient care. Dr. Clark and colleagues were awarded a 2006 ASHP (American Society of Health-System Pharmacy) Best Practice Award for Successful Elimination of the Rule of Six in an Academic Childrens Hospital Through a Medication-Use-System Redesign and Standardization of Continuous Infusions. He provides his service for pharmacy residency accreditation surveys for ASHP and the ASHP Commission on Credentialing as well. The University of Michigan PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Training Program he leads was awarded the 2010 ASHP Pharmacy Residency Excellence Award.

Matthew Eberts,
PharmD, MBA, Director of Pharmacy,
West Penn Allegheny Health System
Matthew Eberts, PharmD, MBA, is Director of Pharmacy at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, part of the West Penn Allegheny Health System and the coordinator for the West Penn Allegheny Health System Pharmacy Practice Management Residency Program. He received a PharmD from Duquesne University, an MBA from Robert Morris University and is a graduate of the Pharmacy Leadership Institute at Boston University. Matts management experience includes the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and HealthSouth. In addition Matt has held an adjunct faculty position at the University of Pittsburgh and has precepted residents in PGY1, Drug Information, and Pharmacy Practice Management programs.
Matt is an active member of both the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He currently serves as President of the Pennsylvania Society of Health System Pharmacists. Matt is currently serving ASHP as a member of the Section of Pharmacy Practice Managers Education Steering Committee, and as a member of the Commission for Affiliate Relations.
