Michael Cawley,
PharmD, RRT, Professor of Clinical Pharmacy,
Philadelphia College of Pharmacy
Michael J. Cawley, BS., PharmD., RRT is Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences. Dr. Cawley graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science receiving both his Bachelor and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees respectively. He completed a post-doctorate residency in Surgical Critical Care Pharmacy Practice at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in conjunction with the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Cawley has greater than 25 years of critical care experience including practicing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist. Areas of expertise include mechanical ventilation, critical care simulation training, aerosol therapy, sedation and analgesia, fluids and electrolytes, acid base disorders and infections in the critically ill patient.
Dr. Cawley is recognized for his leadership within the pharmacy profession including a member of ASHP and Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). He is a well published author, medical consultant, pharmaceutical advisory board member and editorial reviewer for Pharmacotherapy, Clinical Therapeutics, Critical Care Medicine and editorial board member of Annals of Pharmacotherapy (Critical Care Section) and RT (Journal for Respiratory Care Practitioners). He also serves on the Simulation Task Force for the SCCM. In addition, he is recognized as an outstanding educator and speaker receiving greater than 175 invitations as a presenter for national/international conferences and professional meetings.

Asad Patanwala,
PharmD, BCPS, Assistant Professor,
University of Arizona
Dr. Asad (Sid) Patanwala is an assistant professor at the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy in Tucson, Arizona. He practices as a clinical pharmacy specialist in emergency medicine at University of Arizona Medical Center and precepts students and residents on the trauma team and in the emergency department. Dr. Patanwala has published several articles in high-impact peer-reviewed emergency medicine journals, such as the Annals of Emergency Medicine, Academic Emergency Medicine, The Journal of Emergency Medicine and many others. He currently serves on the editorial advisory board for the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy. In 2008, he was awarded the Junior Investigator grant from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy Foundation to study medication errors in the emergency department. In 2009, he completed the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Focused Investigator Training Program. Dr. Patanwala has given several presentations at national and international meetings, such as the American College of Emergency Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Clinical Pharmacy and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Wesley Pitts,
PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Pharmacy Specialist/Manager,
North Mississippi Medical Center
Wes Pitts, PharmD, BCPS is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at North Mississippi Medical Center (NMMC). Dr. Pitts is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy (BSPS 1998, PharmD 2000). Dr. Pitts obtained certification by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) in 2009. In addition to performing Clinical Pharmacy Services in Anticoagulation, Pharmacokinetics, Nutrition Support, and Pain Management, Wes serves NMMC as the Department of Pharmacy Specialist in Diabetes, Pediatrics, and Informatics.
Wes currently is a Past President for the Mississippi Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Wes is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Mississippi and Union University Schools of Pharmacy Professional Experience Programs. Wes has had the privilege to being a preceptor to many students and pharmacy residents.
