Tanya Barnhart,

Tanya is the Manager of Compliance and Clinical Pharmacy at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN where she has been a pharmacy manager since 2008. Besides compliance and clinical pharmacy, she has filled the roles of Inpatient Operations Manager and Inpatient Supervisor. Tanya also works as a casual clinical pharmacist at Gillette Childrens Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, MN. At Regions Hospital, Tanya has had the opportunity to oversee the expansion of clinical pharmacy services into new patient care areas and the opening of a satellite pharmacy in surgical services. She also just successfully led the first year of their new PGY1 pharmacy residency program. After completing pharmacy school in 2003, Tanya worked as a clinical pharmacist at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN for five years, where she had the opportunity to develop general clinical pharmacy knowledge in a teaching environment and earn her BCPS certification. Prior to pharmacy school, Tanya worked for Volunteers of America National Services as the manager of clinical systems and privacy officer where she was responsible for implementing compliance with the HIPAA privacy rules for multiple nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home health care agencies across multiple states.
