Rick Couldry,
MS, RPh, Director of Pharmacy,
University of Kansas Hospital
Rick Couldry, M.S., R.Ph., FASHP is the Director of Pharmacy at the University of Kansas Hospital. At the University of Kansas Hospital, he leads a department that has maintained an integrated, patient-centered practice model for more than 10 years and received two ASHP Best Practice Awards (2007-10). He maintains an academic appointment at the KU School of Pharmacy. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a M.S. from the University of Kansas. Highlights of his ASHP service include Chair of a Section Advisory Group, reviewer for AJHP, and training as residency program surveyor. He has served in organizational leadership roles for State and local ASHP affiliates and has been an active member of University Health-System Consortium. He is Residency Program Director for the combined MS/Health-system Pharmacy Administration program which was awarded the Residency Program Excellence Award in 2009 by the ASHP Research and Education Foundation. In 2011 he received the UMKC School of Pharmacy Alumni Service Award for Health System Pharmacy.

Scott Knoer,
MS, PharmD, Chief Pharmacy Officer,
Cleveland Clinic
Dr. Knoer is the Chief Pharmacy Officer at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is an international leader in health-system pharmacy administration. He has chaired the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Managers (SPPM) Executive Committee and is a member of the University Health-System Consortium (UHC) Pharmacy Executive Committee. He has served in the ASHP House of Delegates, as Chair of the SPPM Advisory Group on Leadership Development, and as a member of the ASHP Commission on Affiliate Relations. Dr Knoer has published in the International Pharmacy Journal, the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy and the Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy. He is a frequent invited lecturer on a broad variety of pharmacy topics including the pharmacy enterprise, the pharmacy practice model, pharmacy operations and automation, process improvement, leadership development, change management and disaster preparedness. Dr. Knoer is the co-creator of the ASHP Managers Bootcamp, a program designed to teach leadership and management skills to pharmacists promoted to leadership positions who lack formal training. Knoer also created combined M.S. / Administrative Residency programs at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic to train tomorrows pharmacy leaders. The Cleveland Clinic pharmacy enterprise consists of nine hospitals, 17 family health centers, five ambulatory surgery centers and 15 ambulatory pharmacies with services in Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Toronto (Ontario, Canada) and Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Michael Powell is Executive Director of Pharmaceutical and Nutrition Care, The Nebraska Medical Center and Associate Dean for Hospital Affairs, The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy. He has held leadership positions in institutional pharmacy practice for more than 35 years in Texas, Michigan, Ohio and Nebraska. He has held academic appointments in three colleges of Pharmacy and been active in residency training throughout his career. He has wide experience in delivery of pharmacy services across the continuum of care.
