Melody Hartzler,
PharmD, AE-C, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice,
Cedarville University School of Pharmacy
Dr. Melody Hartzler is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Cedarville University. She earned her PharmD from Ohio Northern University and completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center in Columbus, Ohio with an emphasis in Ambulatory Care. In her current position, Dr. Hartzler has established clinical pharmacy services at the Victor J. Cas-sano Health Center in Dayton, Ohio, a facility focused upon serving individuals with limited access to health care. She sees patients for medication therapy management of diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, asthma, and other chronic disease. She manages anticoagulation patients for the family medicine residency practice and became a certified Asthma Educator in fall of 2011.
Recently, she has implemented diabetes shared medical appointments in collaboration with family medicine, psychology, and dietetics. In this project, she is evaluating the effect of a collaborative group appointment approach on diabetes outcomes. Furthermore, Dr. Hartzler has a passion for medical missions, lately serving in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica with Medical Ministry International. While serving, she evaluated diabetes knowledge and health beliefs of Jamaicans, aiming to establish better diabetes education resources in areas with limited access to healthcare.

Candis Morello,
PharmD, CDE, Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy,
University of California Skaggs School of Pharmacy
Dr. Candis Morello is founding faculty, an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, and the Associate Dean for Student Affairs at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego. Following earning her Pharm.D. from UCSF in 1996, she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency with a Geriatrics Emphasis at the VA in San Diego. Dr. Morello is a Certified Diabetes Educator and Clinical Pharmacist Specialist who directs a Diabetes Intense Medical Management Clinic at the VA in San Diego. She is known nationally for her leadership as a diabetes clinician, educator and researcher. Dr. Morello has authored several articles, book chapters and abstracts and serves as a reviewer for prestigious publications.

Gina Ryan, Pharm.D., BCPS, CDE
Dr. Ryan is a graduate of the University of California's San Francisco School of Pharmacy, where she also completed her general practice residency. Currently, she is a Clinical Associate Professor at Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. In her academic position, she teaches endocrinology and oversees a clinical pharmacy practice at Grady Health System Diabetes Clinic. She has over 25 presentations and 33 publications on the treatment of metabolic syndrome.
