Sarah Anderson,

University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Dr. Anderson graduated from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy in 2007. Following graduation, she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Denver Health Medical Center and a PGY2 Ambulatory Care/Family Medicine Residency with the University of Colorado.
Dr. Anderson joined the faculty at CU in 2009. Her clinical responsibilities related to her faculty appointment include working as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Adult Internal Medicine at the Eastside Family Health Center, one of the Denver Health Community Health Clinics. At this clinic site, she provides pharmacotherapy consultations that include pharmacotherapy recommendations, patient education and patient follow-up post hospital discharge. She also conducts direct patient visits for resistant hypertension, anticoagulation and diabetes. This clinic is a rotation site for P4 APPE students, PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Ambulatory Care/Family Medicine residents. Dr. Anderson's areas of interest include type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, insomnia, transitions of care, and herbal pharmacotherapy.

Nick Bennett,

Nick Bennett, Pharm.D, BCPS, is a clinical pharmacist at St. Luke's North Hospital in Kansas City, MO. In his current role, Nick serves as a preceptor for both students and residents in the areas of critical care and infectious diseases, in addition to the various clinical responsibilities to the hospital.
Nick earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University and completed his pharmacy practice residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Nick has been active member of ASHP including serving on the ASHP New Practitioners Forum Executive Committee as well as the New Practitioners Forum Public Affairs and Advocacy Advisory Group. His interests include infectious diseases, critical care, leadership, advocacy, and the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services.

Nicole Bohm,

Nicole Bohm is an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences at the MUSC campus of the South Carolina College of Pharmacy. After graduating from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, she completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Duke University Medical Center and PGY2 internal medicine training at the University of Utah. She has been practicing as an internal medicine clinician since 2005, and she has been involved in the recognition and care of several patients with the disease states she'll be discussing at this year's MCM.

Dr. Chad Coulter graduated from the University of Georgia in 2008 and completed a PGY-1 residency at Northeast Georgia Health System in 2009. Since then, he has worked as an Assistant Professor at Sullivan University with a practice site in Internal Medicine service at University of Louisville Hospital.

Kathleen Gura,

Kathleen M. Gura, Pharm.D, BCNSP, FASHP, FPPAG is the clinical pharmacist with the Clinical Nutrition Service in the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Boston Children's Hospital. She is also an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. Certified as a Nutritional Support Pharmacist, Dr. Gura is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group (PPAG). She is also a member of several pharmaceutical societies, including the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the European Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. She has numerous awards including the 2012 Distinguished Pharmacist award from the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and the 2008 ASPEN Serlick Award for safe practice in the field of parenteral nutrition. She was also awarded the 2009 Drug Therapy Research Award of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists.
Dr. Gura is the author of several book chapters on pediatric nutrition and has written articles for many peer-reviewed journals on topics such as the parenteral nutrition associated cholestasis, clinical practice guidelines for parenteral nutrition, and the use of parenteral nutrition in the neonate. Along with Drs. Tom Jaksic and Christopher Duggan, she is a co-editor of the recently published textbook, Clinical Management of Intestinal Failure.

Amy Holmes,

Amy Holmes, PharmD is the Neonatal Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. She received her BS in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina and her PharmD from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
Amy is involved in the PGY1 residency program at Forsyth Medical Center as a preceptor and member of the residency steering committee. She also serves as the Program Coordinator for the PGY2 Critical Care residency at Forsyth. Amy is active in state and national pharmacy organizations including the North Carolina Pharmacists Association and the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group.

Jenna Huggins,

Jenna attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both her pre-pharmacy studies as well as the doctor of pharmacy program. She graduated in 2008 and then completed a post-graduate year one residency at the Durham VA Medical Center, concentrating on inpatient medicine and cardiology. After completion of her residency, she became the clinical specialist for cardiology at WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, NC. She precepts both students from UNC and Campbell schools of pharmacy and pharmacy residents for internal medicine and cardiology rotations. She transitioned to the clinical coordinator for the cardiology in November 2010 where she supervises decentralized clinical staff pharmacists and coordinates educational initiatives, leads monthly meetings, and ensures accountability and appropriate care is provided in the cardiac areas. She serves on various committees including P&T Committee, Invasive Cardiology Committee, Heart Failure Improvement task force, Cardiovascular Surgery committee, Residency Advisory Committee, Anticoagulation Resource Committee, and the Primary Care/Medical Home Task Force. Her research includes projects related to anticoagulation, heart failure, and acute coronary syndrome. In addition to her inpatient responsibilities, she has worked to expand services to the outpatient affiliated clinics at WakeMed. She is a member of the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Management Section Advisory Group for Leadership Development and the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists Section Advisory Group for Clinical Leadership. She also serves on the Acute Care Executive Committee for the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists.

Jonathan G. Leung, PharmD, BCPS, BCPP is a graduate of Ohio Northern University. After completion of a PGY-2 pharmacy residency in psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University Helath System he practiced at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. He is currently a psychiatric clinical pharmacist at Mayo Clinic.

Robert Lucas,

Robert A. Lucas, Pharm.D., BCPS, is a clinical pharmacist at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. Dr. Lucas is also the coordinator for the PGY1 Residency program. In this position, Dr. Lucas is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing clinical pharmacy services within the residency program and coordinating the P&T and formulary committees. He also provides clinical pharmacy services for a wide variety of patients throughout the hospital. Dr. Lucas precepts student clerkships in internal medicine for the University of Tennessee college of pharmacy and Samford University, McWhorter School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Lucas is a retired Major from the U.S. Army Reserves and served in aviation for ten years and as a pharmacist for over 11 years in the Army. Dr. Lucas currently serves as the President of the Tennessee Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP).
Dr. Lucas received his Pharm.D. from Samford University, McWhorter School of Pharmacy. He completed a pharmacy practice residency from Saint Thomas Hospital, in Nashville, TN. Dr. Lucas is currently enrolled in the Pharmacy Leadership Academy through ASHP (class of 2012-2013).

Kevin McDonough Graduated St. Johns University with a BS in Pharmacy completed post graduate Masters in Public Administration at Long Island University and completed my PharmD at Shenandoah University . Primarily my professional interests lie with infectious disease with several abstracts presented at IDSA, ICAAC, and ASHP. I am married to Donna and have 4 great kids: Kevin 21 at University of Buffalo PharmD candidate, Megan 19 University of Albany Engineering, Mackenzie 17 and Madison 11. My personnal interests are endurance events , completed a sprint triathalon, marathon, half iron man and hope to complete a full iron man Sept 2012.

Gary Milavetz,

Gary Milavetz received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Minnesota. After completing a Post-Doctoral clinical pharmacy research fellowship in pediatric respiratory disease therapeutics, he was appointed to the faculty of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy and is also a clinical pharmacist in the Allergy and Pulmonary Division of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He sees patients, directs introductory and advanced practice student pharmacists and precepts pharmacy residents at the Pediatric Allergy and Pulmonary Clinic. He lectures in respiratory therapeutics and pediatric pharmacokinetics. He has numerous authored original research, review, opinion publications and book chapters in the treatment of respiratory disease and improving the education of student pharmacists. His most recent research is in understanding driver impairment by therapeutic medications at the National Advanced Driving Simulator on the University of Iowa campus. He is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.

William Musick,

Dr. Musick graduated from the College of William and Mary in Virginia with a BS in Biology in 1999. He then earned his PharmD from the University of Kentucky and completed 2 years of residency training at the University of North Carolina - Chappel Hill and UNC Hospitals. He currently practices in Infectious Diseases at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX and is the Director of the PGY2 ID Pharmacy Residency program there.

Sarah Nelson Pharm.D., BCPS is a critical care specialist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2008 and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency and PGY2 critical care residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia.

Timothy Reilly,

Dr. Reilly is a Clinical Pharmacist at Princeton HealthCare Systems and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. At the hospital, Dr. Reilly rounds on the Acute Care for the Elderly unit and is an active participant in the hospitals Infection Control, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Falls Prevention, and Geriatric Steering Committees. At the school, Dr. Reilly coordinates and teaches in the Gerontology Pharmacy Practice course and teaches in the Cardiopulmonary Therapeutics course; he is also a student advisor and a member of several committees.
Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Reilly worked as a Staff Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at Monmouth Medical Center. Dr. Reilly received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy and Geriatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists.

Gayle Scott,

Gayle Nicholas Scott is a pharmacist and lecturer with more than 15 years experience in medical communications. Formerly, Dr. Scott worked as a clinical pharmacist in a 5-hospital health system, where she wrote formulary reviews, newsletters, and health education articles for the hospitals medical staffs and public relations programs. She has extensive experience writing about a broad range of medical subject areas in various communication formats. She serves as an expert panelist and reviewer for several pharmacology/pharmacy publications, including Medscape, Pharmacists Letter, American Journal of Health-system Pharmacy, and Annals of Pharmacotherapy.
Dr. Scott earned a BS in Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University, (VCU) and a PharmD from the University of Washington. She is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (CGP), and Fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (FASCP). Writing credentials include: Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS), Certified Medical Publications Professional (CMPP), and advanced certification from the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).
Dr. Scott is a principal medical writer with UBC-Envision. Additionally, she is an assistant professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she lectures monthly to medical students, and VCU School of Pharmacy, where she is a pharmacy preceptor. In addition to ASHP, she is a member of the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) and AMWA. She is a past president of the Virginia Society of Health-system Pharmacists.

Steven Stoner,

Steven C. Stoner, Pharm.D, BCPP is currently a Clinical Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the UMKC School of Pharmacy in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Stoner received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy in 1994 and completed a post-doctoral residency and fellowship in psychiatric pharmacy with UMKC / Western Missouri Mental Health Center in Kansas City, Missouri from 1994 through 1996. In 1996, he joined the UMKC School of Pharmacy as a Clinical Assistant Professor and practiced at the Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center in St. Joseph, Missouri from 1996 until 2009. He also received the NIH-NIMH NCDEU Young Investigator Award in 1996 and the CPNP-Astra Zeneca Clinical Practice Award in 2001. While at the UMKC School of Pharmacy, Dr. Stoner has received multiple Teacher of the Year and Preceptor of the Year awards. Dr. Stoner is a member of ASHP, AACP, and the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP) where he is currently serving as the organizations Immediate Past-President. He has been a platform and poster presenter at the AACP Annual Meeting and is a graduate of the 2005-2006 AACP Academic Leadership Fellowship Program and the 2008 University of Missouri Presidents Academic Leadership Institute. Dr. Stoner has is currently as the Chair of the AACP Section of Teachers of Pharmacy Practice Committee on Scholarship and Research Development and also as the Secretary of the AACP Council of Sections.

Matthew Strum,

Matthew Strum, Pharm.D., BCACP, CDE is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. He also is a clinical pharmacist at Oxford Endocrinology Consultants.
Dr. Strum's academic responsibilities include Pharmacy Practice Skills Lab III/IV, non-prescription medications, and Problem Solving I-IV. Dr. Strum also precepts students on an Ambulatory Care Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience rotation in the third professional year and on an Ambulatory Care Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience rotation during the fourth professional year.
Dr. Strum received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. He completed a pharmacy practice residency emphasizing ambulatory care at The Regional Medical Center at Memphis where he concentrated his work in diabetes management and anticoagulation. Dr. Strum is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, has been a Certified Diabetes Educator for over 10 years, and formerly a Certified Anticoagulation Care Provider. His area of interest is in ambulatory care, specifically in diabetes management, dyslipidemia, and hypertension. Dr. Strum is actively involved in several local and national organizations including the Mississippi Pharmacists Association, Mississippi Society of Health-System Pharmacists, ASHP, ACCP, and AADE.

Brian Watson graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Kansas in 1998 and his Doctor of Pharmacy in 2002. He completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Shawnee Mission Medical Canter and a Critical Care Residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Watson currently holds the position of Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
