Description
Despite the series of new health care construction over the past decade, the health care economy in general discourages construction of new facilities. Today’s health care environment favors retaining capital, improving patient outcomes, preventive care, and improving operations. However, building new structures can positively affect the patient experience and the health care organization’s bottom line. This session will enable you to:
Identify the opportunities and challenges health care providers face when integrating improvements in technology, patient advocate strategies, staff recruitment, infection prevention, and physician partnering.
Develop growth and operational improvement strategies for existing facilities.
Assess the challenges of upgrading an existing health care facility.
Explain the effect of new structures on the patient experience and organization’s bottom line.
