Mike Wood is the Heery International West Region Director of Healthcare Program Management. Mikes role is to build& manage the Healthcare Integrated Project Delivery business for Heery International.
Mike assists clients with the wide spectrum of program/project management functions associated with large-scale healthcare capital efforts. These services range from organization of the program, assemblage of the entire project team, developing strategic level master budgets & schedules, leading team member selection processes, facilitating the design, construction and occupancy processes while ensuring continuous alignment of program goals to daily/weekly/monthly activity.
Prior to joining Heery Mike has led organizations, program & project delivery teams ranging from single focused efforts over $500 million to capital programs containing over 1,000 annual projects on a national scale for over 20 years, including Europe and South America. Mikes expertise lies in assembling & molding high-performance teams into cohesive units focused on efforts that are at odds with typical success factors, breaking down the complexities into an intricate dance of coordinated activities that achieve atypical results that provide a long-term sustainable environment of quality care across generations.
Mike holds degrees in Radiologic Technology, Business Administration, Organization Development and Medicine. He is a life-long learner and coach. He is a certified Coach, Facilitator, CFM and CHC. He holds certification and licenses in several professions including facilities management, healthcare construction, real estate brokerage and the field of medicine. Mike is a past RVP of IFMA, past President of two IFMA Chapters, and current CAHED Board member. He has worked for several world-class leading organizations and owned several businesses associated with the advanced use of technology, healthcare, organization development and program management.
Mike enjoys hiking, bicycling, motorcycle touring, camping, backpacking, anything out of doors, telling stories to his grandchildren or anyone who will listen.
