Description
Documented risk assessment (RA) processes maximize the value of scheduled maintenance activity on equipment and systems, ultimately contributing to smart savings for health care facilities. This session will promote the use of an RA methodology based on theory and process review to prioritize maintenance activities and provide tools for implementing this practice. This session will enable you to:
Describe the risk assessment (RA) methodology that can be applied to maintenance of equipment and systems.
Explain how risk assessments can be used to help determine scheduled maintenance strategies, maximize the value of scheduled maintenance, and support on-demand activity prioritization.
Describe how to expand developed RA processes for use in areas other than equipment and system maintenance.
Develop a risk assessment library that is user-friendly, accessible, and available to staff for updates.
LEARNER OUTCOMES:
-
Demonstrate Risk Assessment Methodology For Equipment and Systems.
-
Describe and demonstrate how Risk Assessments can help determine scheduled maintenance strategies, maximize scheduled maintenance value, and document assessment results as well as on demand activity prioritization.
-
Describe how the developed RA strategies can be expanded and customized to apply in areas outside of equipment and system maintenance.
-
Describe how to develop a Risk Assessment library that is user friendly, accessible, and updateable to staff.
