David Stepelevich
As Vice President of Healthcare Building Solutions, David assists in the leadership and management of the companys facilities and compliance programs, the transition planning programs, and project management program. David has over 32 years of direct healthcare experience and has led the facility, compliance, and project management programs for some of the largest healthcare systems in the country. Prior to HBS, David was the Director of Projects and Facilities for MedCath and was the Director of Facilities and Projects for Universal Health Services. David has developed and marketed nationally recognized facility compliance software that is currently in use at over 50 healthcare facilities around the United States.
With vast industry experience in acute care, pediatric, behavioral and long term care facilities, as both a project manager and director of facilities, David is uniquely qualified to handle both new construction projects, as well as compliance and transition projects for clients throughout the country.
David received his Bachelors degree in economics from Villanova University in 1982. He is a 27 year member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers, and has presented seminars nationally on many subjects from compliance to disaster response.

This introductory session will review the ASHE Health Facility Commissioning Guidelines, distinguishing their application to new and to existing health care facilities. ASHE’s innovative process for health facility commissioning (HFCx) helps facility managers maximize their use of limited resources to achieve savings for their facilities. This session will enable you to:
Describe the ASHE HFCx process, including when it occurs, who is involved, what systems are commissioned, and how to effectively manage the process.
Acquire the tools to develop measurable, positive outcomes that can be used to leverage future capital expenditures.
Identify the potential for gaining efficiency from different building systems to maximize return on investment.
Develop measurable positive outcomes using objective, cost-effective data to leverage future capital expenditures.
