Description
This year's Maintenance of Certification Institute looks into Module 3, which focuses on anxiety disorders, trauma (non-abuse/neglect related) selective mutism, and other seminal articles on topics such as mood disorders and autism, published in the last year. With the new Maintenance of Certification requirements in effect, this special Institute is designed for all child and adolescent psychiatrists who are working on the lifelong learning and self-assessment component of Maintenance of Certification in preparation for the Recertification Exam. In addition, this Institute is a great review of the current literature, pertinent to anyone who wants to keep current with important issues facing practicing child and adolescent psychiatrists. The new Maintenance of Certification requirement involves earning 300 hours of specialty-specific Category 1 CME credit over the ten-year maintenance of certification cycle. AACAP's Work Group on Maintenance of Certification was created to assist members with the lifelong learning and self-assessment requirements as well as preparing for the cognitive exam. Among the Work Group's initiatives is the production of this series of modules containing relevant literature on targeted topics in child and adolescent psychiatry, which also include the most up-to-date literature published for the practicing child and adolescent psychiatrist. Plan to attend this Institute, which offers ABPN-approved, specialty-specific CME credit on today's significant topics.
