Triggering and modulating the donation behavior: with a little help from psychosocial theories of behavior.,
Description
In addition to the constant challenge of recruiting and retaining regular donors, there is a growing need for donations by specific groups of donors, for example those from ethnic minorities. The main goal of this session is to explain how blood centers can benefit from the contribution of social scientists when trying to reach potential donors and influence their donation behavior. Sociological and psychological sciences can help blood centers by providing a sound theoretical framework from which efficient interventions can be developed, evaluated and implemented in routine operations.
