Description
This session will review peripheral artery disease in the diabetic patient and lipidapheresis effect (PADDLE). The discussion will also cover the use of LDL apheresis as an additional therapy in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease in the diabetic patient with drugresistant hyperlipidemia used in Japan. The application of the study in relation to the prevalence of peripheral vascular disease in the United States will identify the potential benefits of lipid-apheresis for PAD.
