How To Approach Legal Problems When They Arise In Practice
Description
The session will be in a lecture format, illustrated by cases from practice. The first presenter will establish a framework of legal concepts as they apply to transfusion medicine. The second presenter will reveal important and surprising legal landmines that arise when patients are also research subjects. The final presenter will explore some legal issues encountered in practice and how they were handled, and provide general recommendations of best practices and advice on how to deal with legal problems when they arise. There will be time at the end of the session for open discussion with the audience.
