Description
There are several new products in the market place for treatment of coagulation factor deficiencies. While these products are currently indicated for patients with rare deficiencies, there is also interest in their use in acquired deficiency, surgery or trauma settings. The session will showcase three speakers who have been actively involved in the assessment of these products in key clinical trials.
- Discuss the increasing use of fibrinogen concentrates to manage trauma and surgery and recent and ongoing clinical trials.
- Present recent clinical findings of the use of novel Factor VIII and Factor IX fusion proteins in the treatment of hemophilia.
- Review recent clinical trials of the use of recombinant Factor XIII and discuss novel observations and potential additional applications of this plasma protein.
