David Bear, Social Media and Mobile Expert, Atmosphere BBDO
David Bear is executive director of mobile and social media at Atmosphere Proximity. David’s entrepreneurial career began in 1992 when he launched the first exercise boxing training programs (think Tae Bo) in New York City with a single New York Sports Clubs (TSI) location. From the boxing ring to the Internet, David joined the CEO of newly formed SW Networks, a joint venture between Sony and Warner Bros that merged network radio with the newly emerging Internet. In 2006, he joined Omnicom Group as vice president of business development. In 2007, David joined Atmosphere Proximity to head the newly developed Mobile and Social Media practices. A graduate of Syracuse University, he holds a B.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and is on the Commerce Committee for the Mobile Marketing Association.
