With knowledge of Java and the JSR-168 and 268 portlet standards you can build interactive gadgets for your Luminis portal. Combine with this the Spring MVC Framework and you can build robust applications that live inside your portal. In this session we'll demo a real-world example that outlines the roles of the Model, View and Controller, and show how you can use Spring MVC to build portlets that can be used in Luminis 4, 5, or any other standards-compliant portal.
