This session will explore a custom solution designed by Georgetown University to easily and efficiently load large numbers of transactions into the Banner Student Accounts Receivable module.

Georgetown uses this custom process to load its Lockbox file, as well as bulk transactions generated by third-party systems, and other large sets of transactions that would otherwise have to be entered manually.

In addition, Georgetown has created error-checking features within the process to ensure that transactions are not posted to the wrong student accounts.

Georgetown University went live with Banner 8.0 for the 2009-2010 academic cycle. It is currently on Banner AR version 8.2.

This session is intended for functional users who would like to more efficiently manage data entry, and technical users who would like a streamlined solution to serve the AR constituency rather than relying on one-off SQL inserts.
