Leading and managing in troubled times is a major issue in today's dynamic and stressful information environment. Lincoln's leadership style and the principles that he followed relate directly to running and managing an IT organization. Some examples of his principles are: learn from and acknowledge your errors; shine the light of success on staff; be visible in bad times; take responsibilities for others errors and praise their success; hire talented people to compensate for your weaknesses; humor is important; and do not swap horses in main stream. After the session participants will be encouraged to contribute to an on-line document offering tangible examples illustrating how Lincoln's leadership principles apply to IT management.
