Today's campuses have increased demands on IT to provide support for more information with more agility, more rapidly, but with the same (sometimes less) resources. The promise of Business Intelligence (BI) is that non-technical users can become information providers alleviating the work load of IT. A successful BI program can meet the increased demands with well supported BI technologies, but that support doesn't always come from where you might expect (or have been promised).
This session will explore how the roles of IT, Information Consumers, and Information Providers are evolving to meet information needs and how a Business Intelligence(BI) professional helps make it all happen. Not sure who those people are on campus? Come learn how the SICAS BI Program for The State University of New York is defining these roles and who we see playing them.
