Many colleges and universities have gone through painful Course Management System conversion experiences. Today, even more are evaluating their current needs and making decisions on their next CMS platform in an ever changing CMS marketplace. Once a CMS is selected, how does an institution seamlessly convert from one system to another? This presentation will discuss steps taken for a successful CMS conversion, from staging courses, designing a new CMS template, migration processes, reporting, and training. Some examples will focus on the successful conversion experience from WebCT 4.1 to ANGEL 7.3 at Galveston College.
