This session will demonstrate Tulsa Community College's use of the BPRA data freeze process alongside customized scripts to facilitate efficient snap-shot comparison reporting. Using SunGard Higher Education's built-in freeze process for ODS tables, static detail data are captured for future comparison reports; however, when these freezes are requested daily, the tables become bloated and inefficient. TCC uses additional scripts to aggregate the frozen data and store it in new tables. The presenter will show how freeze event codes and aggregate tables can facilitate efficient and effective snap-shot comparison reports from the ODS.
