Description
Over the last 1.5 years Georgia Tech Enterprise Information Systems Division has facilitated multiple development projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Using traditional self-service Banner, Adobe Flex, and Luminis development tools, Agile teams have brought forth new applications as well as modernized/extended applications using these techniques. The purpose of this session is to use this experience in this development methodology to answer the questions relative to value, reusability, and extendibility of it to other and different projects.

Attendees who have the basic understanding of the methodology should take away an "on-the-ground" perspective of how Agile/Scum ideas, techniques, and modified approaches can be used to enhance development activities. Issues and challenges discussed include:
* What projects are good candidates for Agile techniques?
* What artifacts are necessary/useful in the process?
* How does the testing of development output meet the audit and change management standards of the organization?
* How does it work with teleworking? Do/Can teams work well in the same room for 8hrs/day, 5 days a week for the next …..?
* How is the functional /Stakeholder participation in the process working in practice? Actual Student Information System development projects will be reviewed and discussed relative to these and other questions.
