Scheduling final exams can be time-consuming. Michigan Technological University has developed a standardized process for scheduling single or multiple section courses. This process has dramatically reduced the amount of time spent creating the final exam schedule. In addition, students can now view their tentative exam schedule via Self-Service immediately after registering for classes. Once the exam schedule has been confirmed, Self-Service is updated and an email is sent to the student. The complete final exam schedule is also made available on the Registrar's website. We will present the logic behind how the schedule is created, the Banner forms (v8.3) used to control the schedule, the Self-Service (v8.3) page which displays the information, the reports to find conflicts and the procedures used by the Registrar's Office to produce the exam schedule. The session will be geared toward functional users.
